Chess Clock ("the app") is developed by 7angle. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.

Summary

Chess Clock does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. The app works fully offline except for purchase validation.

What the app doesn't do

Purchases

Chess Clock offers an optional Pro unlock (subscriptions and a one-time Lifetime purchase), processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and managed via RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives:

RevenueCat does not receive any game data, player names you enter, or usage patterns. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for how they handle this data.

Player names

If you type player names on the Setup screen, they're stored only on your device (UserDefaults) to prefill next time, and are never transmitted anywhere. They also appear in the optional Dynamic Island / Lock Screen Live Activity while a game is running — this is rendered entirely on-device by iOS and isn't sent to us or anyone else.

Live Activities / Dynamic Island

When you start a game, Chess Clock may show a Live Activity (Dynamic Island / Lock Screen) with the running clock. This uses Apple's ActivityKit framework entirely on-device — no game or player data is transmitted off your phone to power this feature.
